Atlantis to end on 100th episode, no sixth season planned

If you haven’t heard the bad news by now, brace yourselves.

Stargate Atlantis has not been renewed for a sixth season, and the TV show will end with the 100th episode (Season 5, Episode 20) “Enemy at the Gate”.

A 2-hour movie is already in the works, which will hopefully be the first of many.

For more info and background on the untimely end of our favourite show, see producer Joseph Mallozzi’s blog.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! It was bad enough when they cancelled SG-1 but that had 10 seasons so that wasn’t too bad but why are they ending Atlantis? It’s getting really good!

  2. jamie says:

NO WAY!!!!! i soooo agree with ‘chad’. the scenes were getting really very good. I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY’RE ENDING IT!!! this is extremely depressing.

Thats to bad, do you know of any way of developing a petition to send to the network. Atlantis is probably the best sci-fi serious that has been produced in a long time.

Hi Keith, thanks for your comment! The best source for all things campaigning (at least where Atlantis is concerned) is to check out the forum on David Hewlett’s website

    Hope that helps!

  5. Jack says:

Those suckers all they care about is money
And they probably want to end it because they see its too good to be a TV series and they want to make it a movie on the expense of the TV show

  6. Dakota says:

Ya, I heard about the movie thing. Apparently they are going to be making one within a year/two years time. ^ ^ Gosh I hope so…

    Cross your fingers for renewal!
